” I am taking a sociology class this semester that focuses strictly on death and dying and the effects of society, religion, culture, family, and so on. For my final assignment, I chose to write a novel about people’s various experiences with death. Everyone is so different, it’s terrifying yet fascinating. I met a mother who lost her 20 year old son to drugs and I met a husband who lost his wife of 58 years to Leukaemia. A few moments ago I was reading about how one of the victims from the New Zealand mosque shooting was a 3 year old boy. It is a natural part of life, I know. But it can happen at any moment…It can even happen right now and I am not prepared for that.”
