Song to listen to while reading this: Recover by Natasha Bedingfield

“I dropped out of school because I had dyslexia and had a hard time with the schooling system, especially the memorization aspect of it. I couldn’t even read and so getting a job was out of the question. I got into a life of crime and drugs, which got me in jail.

In prison, I used my time to teach myself how to read and write. I was determined to make my life better when I got out. So after I was released, I found a job in the concrete industry which gave me enough income to start getting my life back together. I took myself to rehab and am now completely healthy.

I am now putting his daughter through college with my own money. “
